Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology is a 3-years course that is divided into 6-semesters. This is a radiographic course that deals with the electromagnetic radiation that penetrates into the human body and creates the image of the internal structure in a photographic film. The course covers both clinical and administrative skills.

The course helps in developing the knowledge and skills that the students need to perform laboratory tests, general radiography and electrocardiograms. The course gives a detailed understanding of the Medical Imaging equipment and its techniques.

Eligibility

• The candidate should have passed 10+2 level (Karnataka PUC, ISC, CBSE, state boards) in Science stream with 40% (GM) and 35%(OBC/SC/ST) aggregate marks (or equivalent) from a board recognised by RGUHS with subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English. 

• The candidate should have passed 10th with 40% (GM) and 35% (OBC/SC/ST) aggregate from recognised board

Duration

The duration of the course is 3 years for the students joining after their SSLC or 10th. While the duration of the course is 2 Years for the students joining after PUC or 10+2.
