The MBBS is the 5.5-year (4.5-years academic education +1-year internship (House surgeon ship)) degree programme that can be done after the completion of PUC/12th or equivalent by the students. The students should have studied PCB/CBZ in their PUC/12th or equivalent to get admission to Top MBBS Colleges in Bangalore. The MBBS degree allows the students to pursue a career in the doctor’s field. After the completion of the 4.5-year course, the students should mandatorily undergo 1-year internship (house surgeon ship) in the field of surgery, medicines and hospitals to become eligible and certified doctors.
The MBBS degree gives the students a tag of “doctors” and is the most respected profession in the whole world. The students who have completed their PUC/12th or equivalent from the recognised central or any state board across India and abroad are eligible to apply for MBBS courses. Further, the students should compulsorily possess 50% aggregate in all the subjects of PUC/12th or equivalent. The student should mandatorily clear the NEET exams to get admission to MBBS degree in the medical colleges.
The students who are interested to join MBBS degree should mandatorily clear the NEET exams and undergo counselling to choose their desired colleges for merit seats. The medical college merit seats are allotted to the students according to their rankings and marks obtained by them in their PUC/12th or equivalent. There are two types of counselling for the MBBS students
1. Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) Counselling
The students who are interested to join the government medical colleges and other medical colleges affiliated to the government should undergo the counselling procedures of Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). The students who intend to join for the merit seats under government quota are required to complete the counselling procedures and join for the MBBS programmes in their chosen colleges. The medical colleges under the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) are affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS).
2. Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) Counselling
The students who are interested to join the private medical colleges and deemed universities that are affiliated to the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) are required to apply for the MCC counselling procedures. The students should qualify the MCC counselling procedures to get admission to their desired private medical colleges or deemed universities for MBBS programmes.
