Eligibility
Both MBBS and BDS are undergraduate courses available after the completion of PUC or Class 12th from a recognised board for the aspiring students. The students who have studied science subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology in their PUC or Class 12th are eligible to apply for both MBBS or BDS courses.
Further, in both the cases the students have to mandatorily qualify the NEET-UG Exam and attend counselling to choose their MBBS or BDS seats in the medical colleges or dental colleges respectively across the country.
MBBS: Course Overview
- The Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) is one of the most aspirated degree across the globe
- The aspirants with an MBBS degree are termed as doctors and are eligible to practice allopathic medicine and surgery and are qualified to practice as physicians
- The MBBS course is a 4.5 years long undergraduate course, they are also required to undergo 1-year mandatory internship in registered hospitals, clinics, primary health care centres, etc

BDS: Course Overview
- The Bachelor of Dental Surgery BDS is one of the most promising career options in the field of medical science
- The BDS course is a 4-years duration followed by the one-year mandatory internship programme in dentistry education that is to be done in registered dental clinics, dental hospitals, nursing homes, etc
- The candidates completing the BDS degree are known as dental doctors and are qualified to practise as dentists.
- The BDS students are trained in detail about the dental treatments, dental medicine and dental surgery.
- The candidates who are interested to pursue a career as a dental doctor, then he/she has to complete BDS degree

Both MBBS and BDS have excellent career opportunities for the candidates. In both the cases the candidates can find ample job opportunities at both national and international levels. They are largely hired in middle east, european & african countries for excellent pay scales.
What to do after MBBS?
