Naturopathy
Naturopathy is a system that uses natural remedies to help the body to heal itself. It embraces many therapies, including herbs, massage, acupuncture, exercise and nutritional counselling. Naturopathy is a system of healthcare with a deep history of traditional philosophies and practices, medically trained practitioners and a breadth of natural treatment options to serve patients.
Naturopathy takes a holistic approach to wellness and supports a person to live a healthy lifestyle. The foundations of naturopathy are based on the importance of healthy diet, clean fresh water, sunlight, exercise and stress management.
Yogic Sciences
The study of Yoga is called Yogic Sciences. Originating from Sanskrit word ‘Yoga’ translates to ‘connection’ in simple words connection to inner-self. Yoga is a practice of combined efforts to keep the body and mind in best shape by doing Yoga asanas.
Yoga has been mentioned in many major texts of Hinduism such as Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita and Mahabharata. Buddhism and Jainism have their own dedicated literature based on their own versions of Yoga. The science of all the aspects of Yoga is termed as ‘Yogic Sciences’.
The Bachelor of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (BNYS) is a 5.5 years course that can be joined after the completion of PUC or 10+2 classes. The BNYS course does not require NEET exam, so students can directly join this course soon after the completion of their PUC or 10+2 classes without giving NEET exam. The course mainly trains the students with all the elements of naturopathy & yogic sciences. The students will be given in-depth understanding of the traditional medicine and traditional methods of treatments for various diseases. The course also gives an in-depth understanding of Yoga and its application for a healthy lifestyle in the people.
Reasons to study BNYS course
Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (BNYS) is the Indian course that has mostly been underrated by all the medical fraternity. Many students don’t even know about the BNYS course and its importance and this has resulted in a smaller number of takers for BNYS courses. The main reason is lack of awareness; many stakeholders don’t even highlight the BNYS course for the students. The BNYS course has been always subdued due to the influence of the allopathic medical associations all these years. Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences is considered as one of the most effective treatments that has the capacity to help mankind that is suffering from several ailments and health conditions.
