announcement What is XAT Exam?

  • XAT or Xavier Aptitude Test is a national-level entrance test for MBA/PGDM admission.
  • XAT is conducted by Xavier Labour Relation Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur, on behalf of XAMI (Xavier Association of Management Institutes).
  • It is the most preferred entrance test after CAT for MBA/PGDM admission.
  • XAT is considered tougher than CAT and IIFT as the quantitative and decision making sections of XAT is difficult than them.
  • You need to secure at least 95 percentile in XAT to be considered and called for an interview at XLRI.

Eligibility

  • The eligibility to apply for XAT is any bachelors degree of 3 years duration.
  • Students completing the final year degree exam by 10 -6-2019 are also eligible to apply.
  • Indian candidates and those from Dubai & Kathmandu must qualify in XAT exam
  • NRIs and foreign candidates may apply through GMAT
  • There is no age limit for applying for the test.

Acceptability of XAT score

The XAT score is accepted by 11 XAMI member colleges and roughly 150 other colleges for MBA/PGDM programs.

XAT exam Pattern & syllabus

From 2018 onwards XAT exam is conducted online and the test is divided into two parts:

  • Part 1 - Verbal Ability, Decision Making & Analytical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation
  • Part 2 - GK and Essay
