B.Voc Food Processing and Nutraceuticals ( Bachelor of Vocation in Food Processing and Nutraceuticals)
The course focuses on the advanced application of various techniques and activities in research, preserving, processing, production, labeling, quality check and assurance, manufacturing, distribution of food its byproducts, food management, promotion of health through initiatives of healthy food and food replacement, good health and diet, better quality of life, dietary modifications, and the close link between the human body and food. It also involves the study of nutraceuticals to improve health, prevent chronic diseases, increase life expectancy, and support the function of the body. It is an interdisciplinary subject that involves engineering, food science, hotel management, home science, biology, sanitation and hygiene, food analysis adulteration and testing, and food toxicology and also modules that promote wellness, good health, stress-free living, and detoxification. Candidates will have diverse knowledge about the characteristics, features, properties, and applications of food engineering and technology; and multiple applications of nutrition to simplify life and improve standard of living after successful completion of the course. Skills like analytical reasoning, research planning, decision-making, drawing, and presentation are enhanced through various seminars, lectures, practical sessions, and workshops included in this course.
