The nuclear medicine technologists are responsible for treating the cancers and tumours in the body by using radioactive materials called radiopharmaceuticals. They induce the patients with a small amount of these radiopharmaceuticals towards the targeted areas or locations. Once they reach the targeted areas the nuclear medicine technologists with the help of the sophisticated equipment will try to create the image of the particular area and try to analyse the condition. They are also required to destroy the defective cells using the radiopharmaceuticals.
