Amid the Ukraine crisis where many Indian students studying MBBS are held up in war torn Ukraine, the government of India is evacuating all the Indian students under “Operation Ganga”. The main reasons are why the students are flying to international countries for studies, lack of medical seats in government colleges and skyrocketing fees at private colleges. This has forced the students to go to Ukraine for medical studies. In the wake of the Ukraine crisis Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi has announced that the private colleges will have to provide 50% of their seats at the fees of government colleges.
According to the official tweet by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi he stated that the government has taken another big decision, which will benefit the poor and middle-class children. It is decided that half the seats in all the private medical colleges across the country will be charged at par with government medical colleges.
This decision is made for the benefit of the poor and middle-class students aspiring to study medicine. The decision is taken to encourage the students to take up medical education in India instead of going to far away countries like Ukraine, Georgia etc.
