The IISC Bangalore will offer a sponsored fellowship for the M.Tech students from this academic year 2022-23. Applied Materials India Private Limited in collaboration with the Centre for Nano Science and Engineering (CeNSE) at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore will offer a sponsored fellowship programme for second-year Master of Technology (MTech) students.
The CeNSE MTech fellowship is designed to provide opportunities for students from traditional engineering and science disciplines to gain expertise in electronics and semiconductor technology. The main goal of the program is to help expand the talent pool in support of India’s evolving semiconductor industry.
Two second-year students from each of the departments of mechanical, chemical and electrical engineering of CeNSE will be eligible for this two-year fellowship programme. The selected students will get an opportunity to conduct research on materials engineering at Applied Materials India.
Mr. Srinivas Satya, Country President, Applied Materials India, stated that through this programme, we aim to build upon the foundation students that they have acquired in their undergraduate courses across nanoscience and engineering. Prof. Srinivasan Raghavan CeNSE stated that this initiative will connect the students to highly trained tech professionals and make them industry-ready.
