The National Testing Agency (NTA) under the Ministry of Education and UGC announces the results of the Common University Entrance Test (PG) – 2023, providing a gateway to postgraduate programmes in Central Universities and other participating institutions. This examination serves as a vital platform for students seeking admission into postgraduate programmes offered by Central Universities and other esteemed educational institutions across India. CUET (PG) – 2023: Empowering Students and Enhancing Access
The Common University Entrance Test (PG) – 2023, conducted between 05 June 2023 and 06 July 2023 in bilingual mode (English and Hindi) in the computer-Based Test (CBT) format, witnessed a significant turnout of approximately 4,58,774 unique registered candidates. The examination administered 877,492 tests in two phases to a diverse pool of aspirants.
The main objective of CUET (PG) – 2023 is to streamline the admission process into various Central Universities and other participating institutions, including State Universities, Deemed and Private Universities, thereby offering a single-window opportunity for students from all backgrounds, including those residing in remote areas.
Diverse Participation: 197 Universities Join CUET (PG) – 2023
A total of 197 universities, comprising 39 Central Universities, 45 State Government Universities, 10 Government Institutions, and 103 Private and Deemed Universities, participated in CUET (PG) – 2023. The examination covered 4597 courses, with 396 question papers containing 45,875 questions utilised over 23 days and 60 shifts.
The candidates' medium of examination was English and Hindi, ensuring accessibility to students from different linguistic backgrounds. Furthermore, the examination was conducted in 279 cities within India, along with 7 international cities, namely Doha, Dubai, Manama, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, and Bagmati.
Robust Examination Monitoring and Support
To ensure the smooth conduct of the examination and curb malpractices, the NTA deployed a comprehensive monitoring system. A Central Control Room was established, alongside live CCTV surveillance, AI-based video analytics, virtual observers, and mobile jammers in all centers. These measures aimed to create a fair and secure examination environment for the candidates.
Result Declaration and Next Steps
Candidates were given the opportunity to challenge the answer keys, and 5386 challenges were received, out of which 1422 were unique challenges. The Final Answer Keys were prepared after considering the feedback from subject experts and incorporated into the result preparation process.
