M.Tech Product Design and Development is a 2-year postgraduate course that is divided into 4-semesters. The product design and development is an extension of the mechanical engineering course and established the study base in its own name in engineering education. The course teaches about the application of scientific principles to the production of various products. The M.Tech Product Design and Development is a specialised course that enables the students to learn about the history and philosophy of the industry, along with material handling skills and how to use computer applications.

The course provides an in-depth knowledge of the production of various products that include automobiles, aeroplanes, tractors, electronics, toys, building products etc. The course also enhances the abilities of the students in designing the products. The course also teaches to design high-quality products that are environmentally-friendly which involves the planning process of the product to finalising and packing the completed goods.

Admission Process:  Merit- The candidates seeking admission under merit to M.Tech. programme should qualify GATE/PGCET/JEE-Main. The qualified students are then required to undergo GATE counselling and PGCET counselling to get admission to M.Tech. programme.
Management- Students looking for Management seats can go for Direct Admission.
