What is Nursing?

Eligibility for Post Basic B.Sc Nursing

  • The students must have a diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM)
  • The students should be registered as nurses in Nursing council and should have 2-years minimum experience as a nurse in a hospital or community healthcare centre
  • The students should have passed their PUC or 10+2 in any stream with English as compulsory subject from recognised board

Admission Process

The eligible students who are interested to apply for Post Basic B.sc course can take admission through two modes of admission (1) Merit admission (2) Direct admission.

1. Merit Admission

The students who are opting for merit admission are compulsorily required to apply and qualify the Karnataka CET entrance exam conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). The students who qualify this entrance exam are required to undergo necessary counselling procedures in order to get admission to Post Basic B.Sc Course. The fees are nominal and are fixed by the government.

2. Direct Admissions

The students also have another option for admission to Post Basic B.Sc, it is called direct admission. The students can get admission to their desired colleges through direct admissions under management quota. The best part of this mode is that the students can book their seats to get confirmed admissions without any entrance exams. The students under direct admissions are given special privileges, where they can book their seats in their desired colleges even before the commencement of the academic year.
