Dr. Karisidappa further stated that the NEP-2020 aims at promoting student-centric, holistic and multidisciplinary education systems. He said that VTU has consistently made efforts to effectively implement the NEP-2020 in the engineering curriculum across the State.
The VTU was the first university to implement NEP-2020 in the 2024-25 academic year. The university has conducted a series of lectures and workshops to create awareness about the changes made in the curriculum, scheme of learning and examination in line with the objectives of NEP-2020, he added.
Many experts further stated that with the implementation of NEP 2020, India can excel in its technological expertise and is definitively bound to lead the world. There is no dearth of talent and competence in India and NEP 2020 has further boosted the talent potential in India.
The expert panel further stated that the Indian talent pool has created history across the globe with their innovative approach in various fields of expertise. The Indian architects have created enduring architectural constructions that can be seen in our ancient architecture that is carried till today’s current modern architecture and it is the testimony to Indian excellence in the field of engineering.
