Few words about Physics

Physics is the branch of science that deals with the study of structure of matter and its interactions with the universe. Physics basically deals with the study of the behaviour of objects and materials that range from sub-microscopic to macroscopic levels. In the broader sense physics is nothing but the study of basic principles that govern the physical world around us.

Few lines about Master’s in Physics course

The M.Sc Physics course is the 2-year post graduate programme offered by various universities of India. The students who have completed their B.Sc Physics can join for M.Sc Physics course. The students in their M.Sc Physics course will be studying in detail about different areas like energy, motion, gravitation, astronomy, meteorology, nuclear physics, high-energy physics, cosmology, radiology, mining, geophysics and many other concepts. The course imparts the students with in-depth knowledge of physics and trains them to become experts.

Eligibility for M.Sc Physics Course

  • The students should have passed their PUC or 10+2 classes with physics or maths as core subjects from a recognised board of India and abroad.
  • The students must have passed B.Sc Physics with 50% aggregate from a recognised university of India and abroad.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

Many top colleges and universities usually conduct entrance exams for admissions to M.Sc Physics. These entrance exams help the institutes to choose the serious and dedicated candidates from the chunk of non-serious candidates. The students who qualify the entrance exams are allotted merit seats of the colleges and universities.

The students can also take direct admissions under management quota to M.Sc Physics course. The students who choose to apply for direct seats are not required to appear for any entrance exams. The direct admission students are not even required to undergo the complex merit admission procedures. The students can do this by approaching the educational guidance centres.
