Basically, business analytics is a data management solution and business intelligence subset refers to the use of methodologies such as data mining, predictive analytics and statistical analysis in order to analyse and transform data into useful information, identify and anticipate trends and outcomes and ultimately make smoother data driven business decisions.
Introduction to MBA Business Analytics
MBA in Business Analytics is a 2-years post graduate course that is divided into 4-semesters. The course covers both the technical and business domains which are needed for dealing with future challenges in technology and data-driven environments. Business analytics spend a great time with users, clients, management and developers.
The course trains the students on data-driven decision making based on statistical and operations analysis, the formation of predictive models, applications used for optimizing techniques. The course comprises computer simulation, optimisation, statistics, decision analysis, artificial intelligence, data mining and visualisation, predictive modelling, marketing, supply chain, applications in finance and many more.
Eligibility
The students who have completed their degree in any stream with 50% aggregate from recognised university are eligible to apply for MBA in Business Analytics course.
Admission Procedures
The students can take admission to MBA in Business Analytics by two modes. The first one is merit-based admission and second one is direct admission.
Merit Based Admission
The students interested in merit-based admission for MBA in Business Analytics course are required to appear for entrance exams conducted at national and international levels. The students also have to appear and qualify these entrance exams in order to get merit admission to MBA course.
