Computer Science is the academic discipline concerned with computing and development of computing software. The intellectual processes of this discipline combine theory, abstraction and design to develop a software that can perform prescribed tasks. Computer Science is a very vast subject that has lots of applications in the modern world. The computer scientists design new software, solve computing and develop different ways to use technology.
Few lines about B.Tech/BE Electronics & Computer Science
The B.Tech/BE Electronics & Computer engineering is an undergraduate course that is divided into 8-semesters. The course is designed to provide quality education imparting skills on both electronics hardware, software and IT development, the course also gives a detailed knowledge about the design of computers and computer systems along with fundamental aspects of electronics, hardware concepts.
The course also trains the students for designing new hardware and software. The course will render advanced level knowledge and skills in the design of complex software enabled electronic and microelectronic hardware systems. The course also trains the students to develop smart systems that involve sensors, processors, communication networks, IoT, Data Science and Data Analytics.
Eligibility for B.Tech/BE Electronics & Computer Science
The students who have passed PUC or 10+2 with a science background can join B.Tech/BE courses. The students interested in joining B.Tech courses are required to qualify competitive exams like CET/COMED-K/JEE with high marks in order to get merit seats in various colleges.
Admission Procedures
The students with relevant qualifications can join B.Tech/BE courses by two modes. The first one is Merit based admission and the second one is Direct admission.

Merit Admission
The students who are interested to join B.Tech/BE Electronics & Computer Science degree should mandatorily appear for CET/COMED-K/JEE or institutional-based entrance exams and undergo counselling to choose their desired colleges for merit seats. The engineering college allotts the merit seats to the students according to their rankings and marks obtained by them in their entrance exams and marks scored in PUC or 10+2.
