Information Science involves several disciplines, including behavioural science, social science, business and computer science. It also deals with various forms of information and communication, process evaluation, analysis and storage of information by machines and people.
Information science involves working with computers and enormous quantities of information, but mainly focuses on the systems themselves and how they are used, leaning heavily on investigation and research.
Business Analytics is the process by which businesses use statistical methods and technologies for analysing historical data in order to gain new insights and improve strategic decision making. Basically, business analytics is a data management solution and business intelligence subset that refers to the use of methodologies such as data mining, predictive analytics and statistical analysis in order to analyze and transform data into useful information, identify and anticipate trends and outcomes and ultimately make smarter, data driven business decisions.
