The Higher Education Minister Dr CN Ashwath Narayan stated that it is impractical to ban the usage of mobile phones in colleges in the era of digital learning and online study has become an integral part of the study for the students.
The minister further stated that India is in the path of digital learning and gadgets such as mobile phones, laptops are essential for digital learning for the students. The increased digital presence is essential for progressive India. The minister also stated that they will ensure that the students can get access to only safe content over the internet with the Wi-Fi campus and infrastructure. All the colleges will be enabled with safe and secured wireless connectivity throughout all the campuses.
