The senior official from NTA has mentioned that the issues of NEET admit cards have been temporarily suspended until further orders.

The NEET admit cards were scheduled to be issued from 27-03-2020, but due to the latest developments, the issue of admit cards has been stopped temporarily. This decision was taken due to the lockdown measures imposed by the central government across the country.

So, the students have to wait longer to receive their NEET admit cards. The new dates for downloading the NEET admit cards will be issued only after the lockdown period.

Due to the Covid-19, the NEET exam is likely to get postponed according to the statements made by the official authorities of the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Students who are preparing for NEET can have some sort of relief as the NEET exam is likely to get postponed.

The National Testing Agency (NTA), the governing body for NEET exams has given a hint of postponement of the NEET Exam that is scheduled to be conducted on May 3 rd 2020.

The high-level committee held an emergency meeting at New Delhi to review the dates of NEET-UG exam that was supposed to be held on 03-May-2020. The meeting was held in the wake of the postponement of all the board exams due to the lockdown imposed across the nation by the central government.

The officials also mentioned that the Ministry of Human Resource Development and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare are reviewing the matter of postponement of the NEET exam that is scheduled to be held on May 3rd and the new dates will be issued later after the discussions.

The officials also further mentioned that the lockdown measures have affected the JEE (Main) exam and are likely to be rescheduled only after April 14th, the date until the lockdown measures are in place.

The senior official from HRD ministry further stated that the new dates for all the NEET related information will be announced only after the 21 days of lockdown period that is post-April 14th. The HRD ministry is in touch with the health ministry over the matter and new dates will be issued by NTA only after the lockdown period.

The decision of lockdown was taken by the central government to curb the spread of the Pandemic Coronavirus across the country.

Followed by this all the state boards, CBSE, NIOS and CISCE have decided to postpone all exams until the completion of lockdown period.

The lockdown at present that is imposed for 21 days is taken as a precautionary measure to stop the spread of the Corona Virus across the communities.

This unusual circumstance has forced the state governments to postpone the exams to maintain the social distancing measures across the country.

The state governments have decided to conduct all the exams only after the completion of the lockdown period that is after April 14th.
