The covid pandemic has completely disrupted the dental and MBBS internships due to nationwide restrictions and has affected the complete schedule of the internships

The internships normally begin by august every year, but the past two years, there has been delay in all the internships.  The experts stated that this unanticipated delay has adversely impacted the students who are attempting to take up PG-NEET/ MDS or other entrance tests.

In the meanwhile, the many prestigious medical institutes have stated that they have made elaborate arrangements for the students of the 2017 batch to take up internships. While many other medical and dental colleges have stated that they have made alternate arrangements for the students to take up internships and are also gearing up to welcome new students for internships.

The pandemic has also adversely impacted MBBS batches of 2021 and 2022 and the dental and medical colleges have requested the NTA to postpone the NEET-PG 2022 exam as many dental and medical students are worried as they have not completed their internships. So, it may not be possible for interns from the 2021 & 2022 batch to take up PG NEET 2022 exam this year if not postponed. Many interns have requested NTA to post pone NEET PG Exam 2022, and NTA is yet to take any decision about the same.
