In a recent update from the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), it has been elucidated that candidates who have secured government seats in private medical colleges or private seats in private medical colleges are required to adhere to specific guidelines when submitting their original documents for verification. This process is pivotal for finalising admissions and ensuring a seamless transition for aspiring medical students.

Essential Document Submission Process for Choice-1 Allocations

For candidates who have selected Choice-1 and have been allocated government seats in private medical colleges or private seats in private medical colleges, the submission of original documents is a crucial step. These documents are to be submitted at the KEA premises in Bangalore. The candidates must be equipped with two sets of attested photocopies as per their eligibility.

Here is a comprehensive list of documents that candidates need to furnish during this process:

  1. Choice-1 Printout (Two copies)
  2. UG NEET-2023 Score Card and Admit Card (Two copies)
  3. KEA Verification Slip (Two copies)
  4. Fee Paid Receipt (Two copies)
  5. All Original Documents as per Verification Slip (Two photocopies)
  6. Annexure-1 (Two photocopies)
  7. Annexure-9 (Rural Service Bond) (Two photocopies)

Choice-1 Allocations: Defining the Criteria

Candidates who fall under the category of government seats in private medical colleges or private seats in private medical colleges, and have selected Choice-1, should deposit their original documents at the KEA premises in Bangalore. This should be accompanied by two sets of attested photocopies, ensuring compliance with their eligibility criteria. Notably, Choice-1 printout, the Verification Acknowledgement slip, Annexure-1, and Annexure-9 (Rural Service Bond) mentioned in the UG NEET-2023 Information Bulletin must also be submitted. It is noteworthy that the bond for Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research college is accessible on the KEA website.

Only candidates are allowed within the KEA premises during the deposition of original documents. This is an integral part of the entire process that encompasses fee payment, document deposition, admission order download, reporting to the college, and updating joining status on the KEA portal.

Fulfilling Admission Obligations for NRI/Other Quota Seats

Candidates allocated dental seats need not submit originals at KEA, Bangalore. However, they must ensure the submission of original documents at the respective colleges during the admission process.

Those who secure medical seats in government medical colleges need not submit originals at KEA, Bangalore. Nevertheless, they must fulfill the obligation of submitting original documents and the Compulsory Rural Service bond at their respective colleges during admission.

Candidates obtaining medical seats under the NRI/Other quotas in private medical colleges are also exempt from submitting originals at KEA, Bangalore. Similar to the above cases, they are required to fulfill the original document submission and Compulsory Rural Service bond obligation at their respective colleges during the admission process.
