The SSLC and II PUC syllabus will remain unchanged in the coming academic year according to the official sources from the Karnataka Board of secondary education department. The official announcement further stated that the entire prescribed syllabus will be used for the two board exams in 2022-23.
The department stated that due to pandemic-related constraints, schools and colleges were forced to close for months in the previous two academic years. To compensate for this loss the department had reduced the SSLC and II PUC syllabus by 20% for the past two academic years.
The officials further stated that since the Covid situation is improving, the department does not anticipate any of the issues in the upcoming academic year and the department has decided that the syllabus will not be cut from the upcoming academic year.
The Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, B C Nagesh, confirmed that there is no need to trim the syllabus because the academic year this time will be started early to compensate the loss occurred in the last years, with a plan to cover the stipulated syllabus entirety in the 2022-23 academic year.
The SSLC Exams were held from March 28, and the SSLC answer keys were released on April 12. The officials from the board stated that the evaluation of the SSLC answer papers are scheduled to start from April 21 and that the results may be expected by May 12.
