Education in Ireland, in collaboration with the Irish Embassy and the Visa Office in New Delhi, hosted on-ground pre-departure briefings for Indian students in the academic year 2022-23 to enable a seamless transition for those who have selected Ireland as their next study destination. 

According to an official release, the in-person briefings took place in Delhi, Bangalore, and Mumbai.

It added that representatives from Irish higher education establishments, as well as immigration and government authorities, were on hand to provide pupils with important information. 

Visa authorities explained the student visa procedure and gave vital advice for a smooth application, according to a news release. Furthermore, housing possibilities for students in Ireland were presented, as well as a presentation by the Irish government. 

"A number of Ireland's higher education institutions have been quite active in India and have invested in an on-ground presence," said Brendan Ward, Ireland's Ambassador to India. Furthermore, a rising number of Indian students are driven to explore academic possibilities in their subjects of interest and Ireland has emerged as a top choice." 

"Ireland is also equally thrilled to welcome them to the world-class education offered by our higher education institutions for the academic year 2022-23 and to assist chart their future route with a two-year stay-back option that enables them to fulfil their professional ambitions," he said. 

"Ireland has a long history of accepting foreign students and in recent years has been one of the top destinations for Indian students at the undergraduate and postgraduate level," said Barry O'Driscoll, Regional Manager, India & South Asia for Education in Ireland. The higher education system is very comprehensive, with a realistic approach that offers chances at a lower cost than other popular locations." 

"With the country's comprehensive policies and national immunisation programme, Ireland is more than ready to welcome overseas students for the 2022-23 academic year," Driscoll noted.
