announcement What is BITSAT Exam?

BITSAT (BITS Admission Test) is a Computer based online test conducted by Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS, Pilani) for Admissions to Engineering and other degree programmes of BITS Pilani Campuses in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. BITSAT is a national level entrance exam.

BITS Pilani is India's leading institute of Higher Education and a prestigious deemed University. With a renowned legacy, modern campuses and illustrious alumni, BITS Pilani is a top institute of choice for students. The test is based on the 11 th and 12 th class NCERT text books. Students are not allowed to repeat the test in the same year. Both application and test is online. Fee is Rs. 3150 for male candidates and 2650 for female candidates.

Eligibility

  • Candidates should have passed the 12th examination (10+2) from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry &Mathematics and with adequate proficiency in English
  • The candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects (if Mathematics is taken at BITSAT) or a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects (if Biology is taken at BITSAT) in 12th examination, with at least 60% marks separately in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology
  • Only students who passed the qualifying exam in 2018 or are appearing for the qualifying exam in 2019 are eligible to apply for BITSAT-2019.

BITSAT Important Dates:

  • Deadline to Online Application for BITSAT: 20th March (05.00 pm)
  • Revision/editing (online) in the Application Form by Candidates: 22nd - 25th March
  • Test Center Allotment & Announcement to Candidates: 27th March
  • Candidates to Reserve Test Date & Slot: 28th March - 08th April
  • Candidates to download the Hall Tickets with Instructions: 12th April - 13th May
  • BITSAT Online Tests: 16th May - 26th May
  • Apply for admission with 12th marks and Preferences: 16th May - 18th June
  • Admit List and Wait List Announcement: 20th June
