Eligibility
- The minimum academic qualification to apply for JEE Main is a pass in the qualifying exam (10+2)
- Minimum 75% marks for general category (65% marks for Reserved category) to get admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other CFTIs
- There is no age limit to appear for JEE Main, but students have to satisfy the age limit requirements of the institutes to which they are seeking admission
- The students can take 3 consecutive attempts in JEE Main and 2 consecutive attempts in JEE Advanced. The number of tests in one academic year will be treated as one attempt. The students can take two tests in an academic year and the best score will be considered for admission.
- It is mandatory for all students appearing for JEE Main that they must have pursued at least 5 subjects with physics and mathematics as their core subjects in the qualifying exam.
