Power Electronics and Drives is an emerging discipline of engineering which essentially involves concepts and processes of the conversion of power to efficient utilisation. The course has been designed to impart both practical and theoretical knowledge in various techniques at work in easy-to-use tools for electrical, electromagnetic, electromechanical, thermal, circuit, control and system design. 

The course also involves advanced lessons in design, modelling, simulation and synthesis of power convertor, based systems used for the conversion of electric energy.
