Eligibility | The candidate should be a graduate in Medicine (M.B.B.S)from any university recognised by the Medical Council of India. No candidate shall be admitted to any post graduate degree / diploma course unless the candidate has obtained and produced the eligibility certificate issued by the University. Candidates seeking admission to MD should mandatorily qualify NEET-PG Exam. The NEET qualified students are required to undergo two types of counselling. 1.The students seeking admission to medical colleges affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) should undergo the counselling conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). 2.The students seeking admission to deemed universities should undergo counselling conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). |

Placement of MS Surgery
The General Surgeons play an important role in hospitals and nursing homes. They are required to be available in all the emergency situations and conduct emergency surgeries. The General Surgeons sometimes may also be required to perform trauma surgery in case of major accidents. As a General Surgeon he/she requires to have a close collaboration with other specialist colleagues and a holistic approach to treatment. In the initial days of their career they will be working closely with the team of expert surgeons. As they gain experience, they may soon lead a team of specialist surgeons as a ‘Lead Surgeon’ in hospitals and nursing homes.
If they are interested in teaching then they can join medical colleges as assistant professors and take up classes and lectures in general surgery and its related topics. They may even become head of the surgery department or sometimes they may be appointed as Deans, Chairman, or Vice-Presidents in medical colleges.

Lower Gastro-intestinal Surgeons: The Lower Gastro-intestinal surgeons are required to diagnose and provide treatments by conducting surgeries in different parts of body located in the lower gastrointestinal cavity such as colon, rectum, anus, anal canal, bowl areas etc.
Salary Package: They can earn around 10 lakhs to 15 lakhs per annum.
Endocrine Surgeons: The Endocrine Surgeons are responsible to detect, diagnose and provide treatment for the thyroid related problems. They are also responsible to diagnose thyroid cancer in the patients and ensure that it is not spread to different parts of body. They are also responsible to perform surgeries to thyroid glands.
Salary Package: They can around 12 lakhs to 20 lakhs per annum
Transplant Surgeon: The transplant surgeons are required to conduct transplantation of body parts such as liver, kidney, pancreas, heart, bone marrow etc. These surgeons are highly skilled and require an in-depth knowledge about the body parts and play a crucial role in saving the patients lives by conducting transplantation surgeries.
Salary Package: They will easily earn around 15 to 25 lakhs per annum.
