The MBBS students who join for Master of Surgery Orthopaedics or MS Orthopaedics are termed as Orthopaedic surgeons. As an MS orthopaedic surgeon, one is responsible to conduct surgeries on human skeletal systems. They apply casts and splints to keep limbs and joints in position while they heal. 2.The students seeking admission to deemed universities should undergo counselling conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

Career Scope of MS Ortho

Due to the increase in the number of accident cases, there is a huge requirement for orthopaedic surgeons. The changed lifestyle and reckless driving of many people have resulted in many accidents across the globe. As the human skeletal system is the first line of defence for internal organs, the skeletal system is highly prone to get fractures. Hence, all the accident victims develop fractures in bones and ligaments, so they have to undergo orthopaedic surgery.
The demand of orthopaedic surgeons is more. At the initial level, the Orthopaedic Surgeons will work with a team of orthopaedic surgeons in hospitals. As they gain experience in this specialisation, they may become lead surgeon and may lead an orthopaedic surgical team during operations in hospitals and nursing homes.
When it comes to academics, they may join as assistant professors in medical colleges to take up classes on orthopaedic surgery. Podiatrists: Podiatrists are responsible to make a difference in lives of many people suffering from skeletal problems. As a podiatrist one is responsible to diagnose and treat the abnormalities and offer professional advice on care of feet and legs to prevent foot problems. They help children with lower limb pain or problems with walking. They help the people with sports injuries and dancers who are prone to injury due to long hours of rehearsing and performing. They also help the people with diabetes who suffer circulation problems and may be at risk of amputation.
