Career Scope of MS Opthalmology

There is a lot of demand for Ophthalmologists in recent days. Due to an increased aged population suffering from severe eye problems there is a need for more number of Ophthalmologists for eye treatments. The eye problems can be diagnosed at any age and it requires immediate attention so people are not taking any chances and are approaching the Ophthalmologists. At the initial years of careers, they will work with senior eye specialists. They will be assisting them in various eye surgeries in eye hospitals. After they gain some experience, they are appointed ad ‘Lead Eye Surgeons’, they are responsible to maintain a team of eye experts in the eye hospitals.

They have ample job opportunities even in academics. They can join as assistant professors and take up teaching of subjects related to eye treatments and eye surgery.
