    The merit seats are classified into two types: The merit seats under government quota or institution-based merit seats under entrance exam quota. Both the merit seats have lesser fees when compared to management quota fees. 

    Almost all the colleges will have reserved merit seats, so that the students can apply for them. The students seeking admission under merit quota are required to complete the merit admission process for confirming admissions under merit-quota

    40% marks in PUC/10+2 or equivalent in science stream with PCB/M (physics, chemistry, and biology/mathematics) subjects and English as one of the subject. The applicant should have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission.
