“Radiology is one of the exciting and interesting paramedical courses that makes the use of imaging technology to distinguish and treat the diseases that are present in the body of the patients.”
What is a B.Sc (Medical Imaging Technology/ Radiology) course?
The B.Sc (Medical Imaging Technology/ Radiology) is the 3-year degree programme that can be pursued after the completion of the PUC/12th or equivalent from the recognised central or any state board across India and abroad. The students who are interested to pursue B.Sc (Medical Imaging Technology/ Radiology) should have studied any of the following three subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Chemistry, Zoology, Botany) in their PUC/12th /or equivalent.
The B.Sc (Medical Imaging Technology/ Radiology) is the paramedical course that can be pursued by the candidates who are interested to perform diagnostics using radiations. The B.Sc (Medical Imaging Technology/ Radiology) students are required to take the internal images of the human body. They will be using radiations to take the images of the hidden parts of the human body that are not visible to the naked eye.
Duties of the B.Sc (Medical Imaging Technology/ Radiology) students
The B.Sc (Medical Imaging Technology/ Radiology) students create diagnostic images of the internal organs of the human body by using different types of radiation with the help of the sophisticated equipment. The radiologist can get clear images of the body parts, this helps the radiologist to identify the medical condition of the patients. The B.Sc (Medical Imaging Technology/ Radiology) students are given training on various radiation methods that are available in the medical field. They are prepared on the various techniques involved in the different rays and radiation methods.
The B.Sc (Medical Imaging Technology/ Radiology) students are responsible to create the images of the defective internal body parts. They are also required to give radiation treatments for cancer patients. The B.Sc (Medical Imaging Technology/ Radiology) students are responsible to perform the scans of the patients according to the prescription of the doctors. The B.Sc (Medical Imaging Technology/ Radiology) students are required to prepare the reports based on obtained images. The doctors prescribe the treatments based on the reports of the B.Sc (medical Imaging Technology/ Radiology).
