What is B.Sc Neuroscience/Neurology?
The B.Sc Neuroscience/ Neurology is the 3-year degree programme that can be done after the completion of the PUC/12th classes. The students who are interested to join the B.Sc Neuroscience/ Neurology programme should have studied the following three subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology in their PUC/12th or equivalent from the recognised central or any state board across India and abroad.
The B.Sc Neuroscience/ Neurology students will be studying about the functioning of the brain and the nervous systems of the human body. The main responsibility of the B.Sc Neuroscience/ Neurology students is to treat the patients who are suffering from brain and nervous system- related problems.
A brief about Neuroscience/ Neurology
Neuroscience/ Neurology is the most expanding area of the medical field that has seen a greater demand in the last decade. The human brain is the most advanced and has always remained an unsolved mystery when it comes to the functioning of the brain. Many types of research are being conducted on the functioning of the brain and the researchers are still not able to completely understand the human brain. The Neuroscience/ Neurology is considered as the most advanced form of medical science today.
Some of the aspects that make the study of the Neuroscience/Neurology unique are:
- It is an in-depth study of the structure, behaviour and function of the human nervous system. This can be done by conducting a series of experiments and technological tests using the sophisticated equipment.
- Neuroscience/ Neurology finds its birth under the broad discipline of Biology from many years. Due to the technological advancements and better awareness Neuroscience/ Neurology has expanded many-fold times. Today Neuroscience/ Neurology is studied as the individual subject in the field of medical science.
- Neuroscience/ Neurology is a highly interdisciplinary course. The B.Sc Neuroscience/ Neurology students will be studying different subjects such as Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Technology and Engineering.
