The B.Tech/BE Information Technology is an undergraduate course that is divided into 8-semesters. The course is the study of computer-based systems and deals with both hardware as well as software components of a computer system. The course offers a combination of electronics, networking and computer-related courses allowing the students to take up as a profession in the related field.
The course primarily focuses on the study of the three main areas of specialisation in information such as network administration, computer support and programming. The course deals with the management of computers apart from focussing on computation techniques and analysis. The course is the combination of application-oriented programming, hardware and components administration, networking and network security, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
Eligibility for B.Tech/BE Information Technology
The students who have completed their PUC or 10+2 with science background can join to B.Tech Information Technology course. The students interested in this course are required to qualify competitive exams like CET/COMED-K/JEE with high marks in order to get merit seats in various colleges.
Admission Procedures
The students with relevant qualifications can join B.Tech/BE Information Technology courses by two modes. The first one is Merit based admission and the second one is Direct admission.
Let’s discuss in detail
Merit Admission
The students who are interested to join B.Tech/BE information Technology course should appear for CET/COMED-K/JEE or any other institutional-based entrance exams and undergo counselling to choose their desired colleges for merit seats.
