What is B.Tech Electronics & Instrumentation?
-
The B.Tech/BE Electronics & Instrumentation is an undergraduate degree that is divided into 8-semesters.
-
The course majorly deals with the measurement of the flow of charge in automated systems and their controls.
-
The course is a combination of electronics, computer and mechanical engineering. and is designed to understand the design and controls of automated systems.
-
The course also covers subjects like material science, signal processing, statistics, optics etc.
-
Instrumentation engineering is an important part of industries that are adopting automated systems.
-
Electronics deals with electronic devices, circuits, communication equipment like transformers, receivers, integrated circuits.
-
The course also deals with basic electronics, analog and digital transmission & reception of data, voice and video (Example AM, FM, DTH), microprocessors, satellite communication, microwave engineering, antennae and wave progression.
-
Instrumentation engineering is the branch of engineering that specialises on the principles and operation of measuring instruments that are used in fields of design, configuration of automated systems in electrical, pneumatic domains etc.
-
The nature of work of an instrumentation engineer ranges from designing, developing, installing, managing equipment that are used to monitor, control machinery, instruments at home and elsewhere is only because of the science of instrumentation.
-
The course covers the study of various engineering cycles and procedures to help the students understand the different aspects of industrial processes.
-
The skills developed throughout the course enables the candidates to take up jobs in the core technical sector as well as the management sector.
Eligibility for B.Tech/BE
-
The students who have passed PUC or 10+2 with science background can join the B.Tech electronic and instrumentation course.
-
The students interested in joining B.Tech courses are required to qualify competitive exams like CET/COMED-K/JEE with high marks in order to get merit seats in various colleges.
Admission Procedures
The students with relevant qualifications can join B.Tech/BE courses by two modes. The first one is Merit based admission and the second one is Direct admission.
