Logistics typically refers to activities that occur within the boundaries of a single organisation and supply chain refers to networks of companies that work together and coordinate their actions to deliver a product to market. Logistics focuses its attention on activities such as procurement, distribution, maintenance and inventory management.
While the supply chain acknowledges all of the traditional logistics and also includes activities such as marketing, new product development, finance and customer service. Supply chain management refers to coordination of products, inventory, location and transportation among the participants in a supply chain to achieve the best blend of responsiveness and efficiency for market survival.
Few Lines about BBA Logistics and Supply Chain Management
BBA in logistics and supply chain management is a 3-years undergraduate course that is divided into 6-semesters. The course trains students for processes and concepts related to logistics and supply chain. The course also provides knowledge about implementing, controlling and planning efficient flow of goods from the supplier to the customers.
The course trains the students to apply logistics management and administration, making logistics administration. Some of the important topics covered in the course are the process of raw material procurement, production, inventory and product delivery.
Eligibility for BBA Course
The students who have completed their PUC or 10+2 with 50% from the recognised board are eligible to apply for the BBA Course.
Admission Procedure
The students with relevant qualifications can join the BBA Logistics & Supply Chain Management course by two modes. The first one is Merit based admission and the second one is direct admission.
