Event Management is nothing but the art of planning a festival, ceremony, competition, party, concert or convention, event planning. As an event manager one is responsible to oversee and arrange every aspect of an event including and evaluating an event’s design, activities and production.
Introduction to BBA Hospitality and Event Management
BBA Hospitality and Event Management is a 3-years undergraduate course that is divided into 6-semesters. The course deals with basic concepts of hospitality and event management. The course imparts the fundamental knowledge and operational skills to students in areas of customer service, ticketing, tour operations, CRS operations and GDS facilities. The course helps students to acquire a thorough knowledge and understanding of marketing sales, tour planning, etc.
The course also focuses on the domain of event management along with general management subjects. The course trains the students on various event management skills like planning, development, organising events and market ceremonies. The course also trains the students to deal with various types of events like sports events, corporate events, conferences, exhibitions, fairs, concerts, family functions, etc.
Eligibility for BBA Course
The students who have completed their PUC or 10+2 with 50% from recognised board are eligible to apply for BBA Hospitality and Event Management Course.
Admission Procedure
The students with relevant qualifications can join the BBA Hospitality and Event Management course by two modes. The first one is Merit based admission and the second one is direct admission.

1. Merit Admission
There are many top educational institutes that conduct entrance exams for the BBA Hospitality & Event Management course. This mode is called merit admission mode. The entrance exams are conducted to select the serious and hardworking students from the group of non-serious candidates to the available limited number of seats in the colleges. The qualified students are allotted the merit seats and are given admission, the fees are fairly nominal for merit admissions.
