In the major development to encourage Indian students to study in University of Birmingham, the university has announced to offer the joint degree programme for the first time in association with the IITs in India.
The decision was taken when the UK universities delegation visited India to take up participation with the Indian universities post NEP 2020. This is the first time ever that an UK university will offer a joint degree to the Indian students in association with IITs across india.
The university officials further stated that the further details will be made available shortly. The university officials further stated that the Inaugural intake of students expected to arrive in Birmingham in autumn 2023 and the funding and governance still to be determined and they are working on the same with the Indian authorities.
