UGC warns those seeking education in China due to Covid 19 outbreak

The UGC chairman M Jagadish Kumar warned the students about seeking education in Chinese Universities due to Covid outbreak in many parts of China. The UGC urged that travelling to China is no longer possible due to the tightening of Covid restrictions imposed by the government and students may end up getting struck due to restrictions imposed on travelling to China. 

The UGC Chairman further urged that many students are taking up online courses from Chinese Universities that are not accredited or recognised by UGC. The UGC further urged that students who are taking up some unrecognised courses from Chinese Universities may face severe problems after the completion of their course.

The UGC further urged all the students to cross verify with UGC on the official website regarding the Chinese universities that are recognised by UGC and enrol for only those Chinese universities that are officially recognised by UGC to avoid problems in the future.
