The Karnataka government announced free travel in buses across the State for all the SSLC students attending the SSLC exams from March 28 2022 to April 11 2022.

The Karnataka State Transport Corporation (KSRTC) and Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) have announced that all SSLC students can travel free to their exam designated centres during exams showing their hall tickets to the conductors.

The initiative was taken to provide last mile connectivity for all the SSLC students attending the exams between March 28 2022 to April 11 2022 and also to avoid walking for all the students during exams. In many parts of the state, children from remote villages come by walking to give exams. To help such students the government has taken this step and makes them feel comfortable during the exams.

All the SSLC students will be required to show their hall ticket along with the bus pass to the bus conductors to claim free travel during the exams. According to the directive from the state government, the bus staff has been asked to stop the bus according to students' requirements, so that they can reach the exam centre on time, without walking too much.
