The Hon’ble Supreme Court on Thursday 28th October 2021 permitted the National Testing Agency (NTA) to declare the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2021 results for admission to undergraduate medical courses across the country.

The Hon'ble Supreme Court stayed the Bombay High Court's recent order asking the NTA not to declare the NEET-UG results and conduct re-examination for two aspirants whose question papers and OMR sheets had got mixed up at a centre in Maharashtra.

The Hon'ble Supreme Court further stated that a decision about the two students will be taken later and it is impractical to withhold the results of 16 lakhs NEET-UG aspirants for the sake of two students. So, the Hon'ble Supreme Court quashed the Bombay High Court Stay order and directed NTA to announce NEET-UG 2021 results.

The NEET-UG Entrance Exam was conducted on September 12, 2021 for 16 Lakhs candidates, in 3,682 centres in 202 cities across the country.
