M.Tech Machine Design is a postgraduate mechanical engineering course. machine design is the process of engineering design which includes computer-aided design and manufacturing of different machines and machine related items. The course aims to train the students by focussing on machine design using analytical, numerical and experimental approaches. The machine design course is a composite application of mathematics, kinematics, statistics and dynamics, mechanics of materials, material science, engineering and also engineering drawing. 

The course essentially focuses on areas like theory of elasticity and plasticity, theory of plates and shells, advanced vibrations, finite element analysis, kinematics design, tribology and bearing design, fracture mechanics, experimental stress analysis and many more.
