Candidates seeking admission to MD should mandatorily qualify NEET-PG Exam. The NEET qualified students are required to undergo two types of counselling. 

1.The students seeking admission to medical colleges affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) should undergo the counselling conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).

2.The students seeking admission to deemed universities should undergo counselling conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

The demand for the Ophthalmologists is increasing day by day. Due to the aging population many people are facing severe eye problems and they are in need of Ophthalmologists for their eye treatments. The eye problems can arise at any age and it requires immediate attention so people are not taking any chances and are approaching the Ophthalmologists. At the initial years of careers, they will work with senior eye specialists. They will be assisting them in various eye surgeries in eye hospitals.
