The MBBS students who complete their MD Pathology course will be termed as Pathologists. Pathology is a branch of medical science that involves the study of pathogens that causes diseases in humans. Haematology Doctor: The Pathologists have an option to join as Haematology doctors in hospitals or nursing homes. They diagnose and give treatments to disorders of the blood and bone marrow. They are also responsible to provide clinical support for the haematology diagnostic laboratories and blood banks to test defects of blood from the donors. They provide advisory and consultancy services to all the hospital specialists and general practitioners. They provide clinical interpretation of laboratory data and morphology of blood and bone marrow. The haematology doctors will be working with patients of all ages and they manage both benign and malignant conditions.

Histopathology Doctors: The MD Pathology specialists can join as Histopathology Doctors. The Histopathology doctors are responsible to diagnose the diseases related to cells and tissue samples using expert medical interpretation and advanced medical tools. They develop the expertise and knowledge to determine the cause of death by performing autopsies on human bodies.
