BSc Biochemistry, Botany, Zoology (Bachelor Science in Biochemistry, Botany, Zoology)
The students will be studying the application of biology and chemistry as the subject to study the living organisms at the atomic and molecular levels to understand the existence of the living organisms.
The students will seek to determine the specificity of the molecules, proteins, nucleic acids, lipids, vitamins and hormones. The course mainly emphasises on the regulation of the chemical reaction in living cells. The students are essential to take up research on the various biochemical reactions that trigger the development of life in the living organisms.
What Skills does a Biochemistry student develop?
The B.Sc Biochemistry students will develop the ability of sightseeing the chemistry of the living organisms and the molecular basis for the alterations occurring in the living organisms. The students will be trained to become well-versed with both life science and chemical science.
Botany courses cover topics such as evolution, plant features and behaviour, taxonomy, plant kingdom theories, and plant-environment interactions. It covers organismal biology, plant anatomy and developmental biology, cell biology and biomolecules, mycology and plant pathology, angiosperm taxonomy, genetics and genomics, plant physiology and biochemistry, phytochemistry, microbial biotechnology, and computer and bioinformatics applications.
The Zoology curriculum focuses on evolution, animal behaviour, animal categorization, animal kingdom theories, and animal-environment interactions. It includes biosystematics, invertebrate structure and function, biology tools and techniques, animal physiology and ethology, physiology, genetics and evolution, vertebrate structure and function, and environmental biology.
