The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) is a 5-years undergraduate course that deals with the study of dental systems and oral health in the human body. BDS course has been the next best option available after an MBBS degree. The BDS degree doctors are known as dentists and are responsible to take care of oral health and dental health in the society. Dentistry has been one of the most popular choices as a career by many students after MBBS. The dentists can start their dental clinics in their neighbourhood. They can join as duty dental doctors in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, etc. For joining the BDS degree the students have to qualify NEET UG exam to choose their desired dental college in the counselling.
