The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts Common Management Admissions Test (CMAT) exam every year for management admissions in all the AICTE approved colleges and Universities across the country. The CMAT exam is conducted every year and students have to qualify this exam to get admission to different management courses in different AICTE approved colleges and universities across the country.
What is NTA?
National Testing Agency (NTA) has been established as a premier, specialist, autonomous and self-sustained testing organization by the Government of India to conduct various entrance examinations for admission/fellowship in higher educational institutions. The NTA is the sole governing body under the Ministry of HRD Government of India for conducting CMAT exams across the country.
What is the CMAT Exam?
The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a National Level Entrance Examination for admission to Management Programmes in the offered by different colleges across the country. This test facilitates AICTE affiliated participating Institutions to select suitable graduate candidates for admission to the Management Courses in such Institutions.
CMAT-2021 will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) as a three-hour entrance examination in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode to evaluate the candidates’ ability across various segments like Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness, for admission to the Management Courses every year.
The participating Institutes of CMAT-2021 will be accepting the CMAT Scores for awarding admissions to different management courses. The aspiring students have to take the CMAT test online in the designated exam centres across the country and qualify the same.
Why the CMAT Exam?
CMAT exam is the popular entrance exam after the CAT exam. The CAT exam is considered as one of the toughest entrance exams for management courses. The CAT exam is basically conducted by IIMs across the country while the CMAT entrance exam for management admissions in the country is conducted by NTA. The MBA aspirants are required to qualify the CMAT exam in order to get admission to merit seats of management courses. Every college has a specified number of seats under merit quota. The students applying for the merit quota are required to qualify the CMAT exam.
Eligibility for CMAT Exam
The aspiring students who have completed their degree in any stream with 50% aggregate marks from the recognised university are eligible to apply for CMAT exam. The candidates who are in the final year of bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply to the CMAT exam. The minimum age criteria required for applying for the CMAT exam is 21 years.
