Introduction to LLM
LLM is a postgraduate degree in law that is divided into 2-semesters. The course enables the students to be specialised in the field of law and legal affairs of the country. The course is designed to give an overview of trademarks and trademark law and practice in countries around the world.
The course enables the candidate to gain specialised knowledge through research in a particular area of law. The course enhances one’s repute as the course signifies advanced, specialised legal training and it also signifies that the person is qualified to work in a multinational legal environment.

Eligibility for LLM
The students who have completed LLB (3 years or 5 years) with 50% aggregate from recognised university are eligible to apply for LLM course.
Admission Procedures
The eligible students can take admission to LLM courses by two modes. The first one is merit- based admission and second one is direct admission.
1. Merit-Based Admission
There are many reputed colleges and universities that conduct institution-based entrance exams for LLM courses, and this mode of admission is called merit admission. The students interested in merit seats are required to apply for these entrance exams. The qualified students are given merit seats. The main reason for entrance exams is to select the right students from the group of non-serious students. The fees are also nominal for merit-admissions.
2. Direct Admission
The students can also get admission to the course by another mode called direct admission. The students are given direct admission to their desired colleges under management quota. The main advantage of this mode of admission is that the students are given special provisions where they are not required to appear for any entrance exams for admissions. Another benefit is that the students can choose their desired colleges and book their seats in advance even before the colleges start.
