What is B.Sc Biochemistry?

The B.Sc Biochemistry is the branch of biology that deals with chemical and physio-chemical processes that occur in the living organisms. The B.Sc Biochemistry students will be studying the application of the chemistry as the subject to study the living organisms at the atomic and molecular levels to understand the existence of the living organisms. The B.Sc Biochemistry students will develop the ability of sightseeing the chemistry of the living organisms and the molecular basis for the alterations occurring in the living organisms.

The B.Sc Biochemistry students will be well-versed with both life science and chemical science. The B.Sc Biochemistry students will seek to determine the specificity of the molecules, proteins, nucleic acids, lipids, vitamins and hormones. The B.Sc Biochemistry students mainly emphasise on the regulation of the chemical reaction in living cells. The B.Sc Biochemistry students are essential to take up research on the various biochemical reactions that trigger the development of life in the living organisms.

The students who have completed their PUC or 10+2 with PCB/CBZ from the recognised central or state board are eligible to join the B.Sc Biochemistry course.
