What do you mean by Law?
Definition of law is a rule of conduct developed by the government or society over a certain territory. Law follows certain practices and customs in order to deal with crime, business, social relationships, property, finance, etc. The law is controlled and enforced by the controlling authority.
In natural school of thought a court of justice decides all the laws. There are two main parts of this definition. First one is to actually understand a certain law and an individual must be aware of its purpose. The second one is comprehended to the true nature of law; one must consult the courts and not the legislature.

BA LLB is a professional integrated law course which is suitable for students who want to become lawyers, an advocate, a legal advisor or want to make a career in law and judiciary. The course is 5-years integrated and is divided into 10 semesters. The course provides an expert knowledge of the Indian Legal System in a comprehensive way. The course imparts various skills in the students like problem solving, complex reasoning, high thinking capability, reasoning and critical judgement skills, etc.
The course trains the students to become a qualified lawyer and develops the capability to argue in the courts of the country on behalf of their clients. The course also trains the students to draft legal documents with precision and the students will have a piece of expert knowledge about Indian Laws and their implementation in different parts of the society.
Eligibility for BA LLB
The students who have completed their PUC or 10+2 in any stream from recognised board are eligible to apply for BA LLB Course.
Admission Procedures
The students can take admission to BA LLB course by two modes. The first one is merit-based and second one is direct admission.
1. Merit Based Admission
The students interested in pursuing law courses under merit quota are required to appear for CLAT/LSAT or institution-based entrance exams. All the colleges are governed by the Bar Council of India and will have merit seats. The students interested in merit seats are required to qualify the CLAT/LSAT or institution-based entrance exams in order to get admission to merit- seats. The fees are also nominal for merit seats and are fixed by the government.
2. Direct Admission
The students can also get admission to BA LLB course by another mode of admission called direct admission. Under this mode of admission, the students are given direct admission to their desired colleges under management quota. The main advantage of this mode of admission is that the students are not required to apply for any entrance exams for getting admission. Another advantage of this mode is that the students can choose their desired colleges and book their seats in advance before the college starts.
