The Yenepoya Medical College was established in the year 1999 and is affiliated to the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. Since 2005, after being recognized by the Medical Council of India, postgraduate courses in medicinal departments along 7 subjects were introduced. Recently, this number has increased to 20 departments. The medical College aims at providing efficient and effective education to the young minds so they can serve the country in making it even better.

The Yenepoya Medical College has a medical hospital that has over 900 beds which provide ultramodern medicinal care to patients in general as well as specialized departments. It is responsible for providing health care to the people living in the Dakshina Kannada area & Northern Kerala. The services that are being provided on a daily basis are at an extremely subsidized rate and is free for the economically backward classes of people. The best part about this hospital is that it provides an opportunity for the students to get a realistic view on what life is as a doctor.
